Our first official rep in the  competition has come home a winner after wowing the judges in Melbourne, during Southern HiBearnation 2009.

Forty year old Jason Lee (pictured), who took out our inaugural Mr Harbour City Bears title in May, now has the chance to impress at an international bear competition in the US.

Congratulations to Jason, who will be working with us over the next year to promote Harbour City bears, our community and the bear clubs of Australia.

The winners in each category during Mr Australia Bear 2009 were:

• Mike Innis (Auckland, NZ) – winner of Mr Southern HiBearnation Grizzly 2009
• Julian Ferro (Melbourne, VIC) – winner of Mr Southern HiBearnation Bear 2009
• Jason Lee (Sydney, NSW) – winner of Mr Southern HiBearnation Cub 2009, with Jason being the overall winner of Mr Australasia Bear 2009.

All financial members of the Harbour City Bears Inc, for 2009/10 are invited to attend our 2009 Annual General Meeting to be held as follows:

• Date & Time : Sunday 5^th July 2009 at 12 noon.
• Location: ACON (Rooms 9 and 10), 9 Commonwealth Street, Surry Hills.

This is your opportunity as a member of Harbour City Bears to elect the 2009/10 committee to run our club, for the following 12 months.

By attending the AGM you can express your voice in the way you want the club to move ahead in the coming year.

If you feel that you have the time, energy and commitment to assist in the running of the club please nominate for one of the committee positions.
